Seed Comments
There are 3 brown seeds per pod, and they usually stay attached to the pod frame. The seed pod is quite unusual, and consists of two valves. You should put fresh seeds in hot (50C) water, cover, and let stand for 12-24 hours. Then, mix seeds with moist seed-sowing mix and leave them out for another 24 hours before sowing. For stored seed, the water temperature should be 70-90C, and leave them in it for 48 hours.

Comments
Tear off a piece of the branch, so that it comes away with the heel. Don't tidy up the heel, just trim the ragged string bits at the end of the lower heel. You can also try semi-hardwood, taken in the spring or autumn, rooting within 30-70 days, with a 75% strike rate.
Time to Root
1-12 months, depending on time of year
Growing Conditions
15-20C in a cool frame
