Comments |
Because of its steepness, it is extremely important for water quality purposes. The forest cover is in marked contrast to the denuded western banks of the gorge in the same locality. This semi-coastal forest, adjacent to the Aorangi Scenic Reserve, contains many birds including kiwi. |
