Comments |
Adjacent to the Rimutaka and Tararua Conservation Parks, it forms an important ecological link with these major forested areas, especially at lower altitudes. Present vegetation ranges from gorse, to native shrubland and regenerating forest as well as mature black and hard beech remnants, a regionally threatened forest type in this region. |
