HABITAT RESTORATION WORK & FIELD DAY

Venue: Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust Tavora Reserve

Sunday 8 June 2003 from 11am

We are having a planting day - please join us, and help restore Tavora Reserve.
This is a day for the whole family - children are very welcome.
After the planting, join us for a guided walk around the cliff top-track in the reserve.

This is an opportunity to learn more about
* Planting penguin habitat
* Planting to protect and enhance the creek and wetland
* Restoration of dunes, including removal of exotic marram grass and the return of rare coastal species. The dune site has some of New Zealand's most threatened plants
Bring a spade if you can, gloves, warm clothes and lunch. Hot water provided.
No cancellation - the weather at Tavora is always bearable.

Directions
From Dunedin: Drive north through Waikouaiti on SH1 and on 7km to Goodwood Corner. Turn right onto Goodwood Road, and after 5km turn right into Bobby's Head Road. The car park is directly ahead.
From Palmerston: Take Goodwood Road for approx 7km and turn left into Bobby's Head Road.
