Listing your name in a public address book and setting up a email mailing list. To list your name at www.bush.org.nz/person/ 1. Log on with your user name and password. 2. Go to "My Profile" > "Personal Details". 3. Select "yes" to the question "List me in website address book:". 4. Click "Update". Your name is now listed in the public address book and it links to your personal web page for more publicly available information. Any group can now set up an email list and people can subscribe/unsubscribe to it. Mail is archived. These lists can be public or private, as can the mail archive. For more information please contact the NZERN Help Desk.... 20/10/2002 BirdGuide The "BirdGuide" database was handed over in the weekend by Scientist Harry Boufal. Harry has been working on this project for the last 12 months. The information will end up on the website and will link to other publicly available information. Eg: that held at the Birdlife International website. Future enhancements will include the ability of Pipi Users to report bird sightings. Bird lists will be able to be associated with restoration sites. The data held will also be able to be presented in maps. All this information will be available to be shared with whoever can use it.
