NEWS FOR NZERN MEMBERS
95% of the 25,000 pages on www.bush.org.nz website are going to be consolidated, so that there will only be a single page for each topic. This proposal borrows many ideas from Wikipedia to simplify searching and would enable direct editing of all pages by all members. To minimise disruption, a lot of planning and design work needs to be done before hand. The 10,000 new pages will then be automatically created over a two week period. Once they have been randomly checked, there will be a change-over-date around the end of March. Members are invited to attend a series of workshops to make the necessary decisions about what kinds of information should be on the new pages. Draft designs are available to look at. These workshops will be the only opportunity to have a say in these changes. Phone Mike Peters 03-980-0902 for more information. A phone conference will be available to include those who can't attend in person. Restoration Directory Workshop 5.30pm, 5 March in Christchurch to improve the pages about:
