9.30am Lake Alexandrina outlet. There is plenty of work to do to improve the lake surrounds by clearing briar and wilding pines, so come along and bring your friends, leather gloves, lopping shears or secateurs and sensible shoes. These days are always great fun, so see you there!

NZERN 2007 National Conference

Meeting at Travis Wetland Education Centre, Beach Rd, Burwood, Christchurch

A one day conference has been called to enable NZERN members to get together to discuss where NZERN is headed. It is open to all NZERN members.

Priorities for discussion will be finalised on the day by participants but will include:
- Demonstrations of how easy it is to logon to the website, update personal details, change passwords and use the forums.
- A review of the suggestions made at the 2007 Restoring the Drylands Conference and the planned 2008 Conference on Rural Restoration.
- Organising Field Days using the $10,000 funding recieved.
- Regional Editors, editorial standards and information cataloging.
- Improvements to Kereru, using the Events Manager to update the calendar.
- Improvements to PlanterGuide.
- Membership recruitment, branches, the Help Desk and financing NZERN.
- NZERN's constitution and Long Term Plan.

Tea and coffee will be provide. Please bring a plate of food for a shared lunch.
