2. NZERN NEWS
Free
webhosting for NZERN's member non profit groups
NZERN will be able to
provide free webhosting to non profit groups that are members of NZERN and
that have a restoration project. The website space provide will be enough
for about 10 pages plus pictures that you create and upload. This service is
aimed at small groups who want a simple public website. The control panel to
upload your web pages will be available after logging in to PIPI4.
There
will be two options for naming your website. The first would be something
like www.nameofyourgroup.org.nz and the second way would be
www.restoration.bush.org.nz/nameofyourgroup/index.html
In addition, it
will be possible to use the web forms provided by PIPI4 to add an unlimited
amount of articles, regular events, downloads, as long as that infomation is
also freely available for others to access via Kereru or from the main NZERN
website. A choice of standard templates will be available, that can be used
to add this extra content to your website. There will be no limit on the
number of these extra pages.
A live interactive GIS map for each of your
restoration sites can also be added to your website.
To access these
services, each group will have to nominate one of their members to be their
GROUP ADMINISTRATOR
These member only services will be available soon and
will be advertised in Kereru.
