A project started a year ago has now reached fruition.
Thanks to diligent effort and perseverance by your committee the Inland Revenue has awarded us 'tax exempt charitable' status.
This means that when you make a donation , over $5.00, to the Society you can claim the donation as a tax exemption.
So now, when you donate $100.00 the Inland Revenue will give you a third of it back (depending on your tax rate).
The tax exempt status also applies to bequests left to the Society.
So send your donations to 'Addington Bush Society Inc, P.O. Box 9000, Christchurch' and for every donation over $5.00 you will receive a personally signed receipt which you should retain for tax purposes.
