| Forums are a great way to share skills and experience with other members of Pipi.
You can talk about weeds, pests, growing native plants in fact anything that you feel is important to restoration.
If you have a query you can post this onto the forum and other Pipi members can reply with advice from their own experiences.
The topics on the forum can include useful books you have read, congratulating people on a job well done, fundraising ideas etc.
To join and participate in a forum login to your user area.
goto "My Office" > "My Forum",
To join a Forum:
Click on "Join another Forum"
All members can join the NZERN General Restoration Forum. You have to be a member of the listed group to join the other forums.
To join the General Restoration Forum click "join forum now".
To participate in the forum you have joined:
Click on "My Forums" this will give you a list of the current forums you belong to.
Click on General Restoration Forum.
You will see a list of topic which you can read and reply to.
You can also post a new topic, in other words create a new topic to which others can reply to.
To Post New Topic:
Click on "Post New Topic".
Enter a subject and a message
eg:you could be asking the best way to deal with a certain weed problem.
A emoticon or smiley can be added to your message, for example a smiley face, select these from the drop down list. To see what the icons you can select look like click on "emoticons and smileys".
To post the topic click on "Post Reply".
To read a topic:
Each topic has a subject, author, number of replies and the date of the last reply.
Click on the topic you wish to read. The orginal message and all replies will be displayed. You can reply to a topic if you wish ie: add your own thoughts, ideas or suggestions.
To Reply to a topic:
Click on the topic you wish to reply too. The original message and all replies will be displayed.
Click on "Reply" and enter your message again you can select a emoticon from the list.
To post your reply click on "Post Reply".
Give it a go you will find it a great way to share information and to find out what is happening with other restoration sites.
