| Hi Mike, as another person has replied, yes it is near to the Kaiapoi Pa in Woodend, North Canterbury. It crosses State Highway 1 and "Preeces Road" and joins up to the Ashley/Rakahuri River.
On the Waimakariri Proposed District Plan it is shown on Planning Maps 123 - 126. |

| Hello Mike
As we discussed there is reference to Taranaki in the Chatham Islands. I think it refers to an estuary system. I will try and locate the map

The only Taranaki I can find in the South Island is Taranaki Peak (2302m) to the west of the Godley River. So Taranaki Stream probably does not appear on any NZMS260 map of the South Island.

| I'm editing the Canterbury 2003 Restoration Directory due to be published June.
Where is Taranaki Stream. There is a reference here to it being a riparian planting by dairy farmers and that its in Canterbury. .... Somewhere.
Any suggestions?
Mike
