| Welcome to the first issue of Kereru for the growers of eco-sourced New Zealand native plants.
RESOURCES
PlantGrow An online resource of detailed information about the propagation of NZ native plants. 20 volunteers gathered this information over a period from 1997 to 2002.

The original idea was inspired by the the efforts of Chris & Brian Rance of the Southland Community Nursery. The Rances have a threatened native plant garden in Otatara, Invercargill dedicated to species from around Southland and Stewart Island. A laminated fact sheet for visitors has been produced for each plant species.
Members of the ancestor of NZERN (the bush society) thought it was a great idea and set to gathering information for as many species as possible in order to create a copyright free resource - that schools and community groups could share.
Many volunteers helped with this effort including the Rances, Hugh Wilson, Dr Nora Devoe, John Moore, April and Lionel Chew, Di Lucas, Lynette McLenaghan, Ryan Young, Robyn Smith, Jo Sullivan. Edith Jones acted as editor gathering the contributions and checking against references.
This resource is a work in progress.
