Hi Gay

Got your article and picture - thanks. I have put it thru the web based Content Management System (CMS) so it will appear on the Southland Home Page tomorrow as a top story and stay up for 6 months.

Sounds like a very interesting trip. Wish I was there to see the great work being done.

On a recent holiday, Tracy and I went down to the mouth of the waiau and saw the fencing off of dairy farm streams and a bit of planting. Great to see this happening. The fencing must cost a bit.

I've replied to your query about regional editors on the Pipi User Support Forum under the subject of Regional Editors.

Hi Mike.

Great day with good feedback from those who came along, as has been the case in other years. Many of the same participants from a number of interested groups, mainly Forest & Bird and Men of the Trees. A good attendance by Environment Southland staff and councillors, as well as one Southland District councillor. Good to have these people along. Several new faces, individuals new to the area, interested to hear what's going on out there.

All in all, a good networking day and the opportunity to support those people working at projects and raise awareness of the work they are doing.

I will email through a photo and short report to go on the Southland front page.

Cheers, Gay

PS Are you still looking at working on having regional 'editors' that will be able to do that?
