About ERIS

ERIS (Ecological Restoration Information System) is a charitable trust. The trustees meet on the first Monday in February, May, August and November. The committee are Dr Dave Evans (Secretary), Denise Ford, Jason Gleason, Parker Jones, Carl Mize (Chair) and Mike Peters.

Offers of help and enquiries are welcomed.

Volunteers and interns are welcome to join the Operations and Development teams. Donations of cash, equipment and materials are gratefully accepted.

Sponsors
The TFBIS programme, Ministry for the Environment, Canterbury Community Trust, and Habitat Protection Fund have kindly provided funding to purchase NZ$50,000 of computer equipment and manuals. ESRI and Microsoft have donated NZ$700,000 of software. Many businesses and individuals have also provided generous discounts or donated used items. > more information

July 2007

The PIPI technical documentation for developers is now available.

June 2007
The PIPI4 on-line help system is now available.

May 2006
A GIS Integration Workshop will be held on Saturday June 10 to plan the integration of JTX 3, ArcPad 7, ArcIMS 9.1 and ArcSDE 9.1 and the use of model builder.

April 2006
A media server has been added to enable webcasting of recorded content. Webcasts are planned to begin July 2006.

February 2006
Separate trust to be launched to provide computer services to NZERN and its members. Information to come.

January 2006
Microsoft donates NZ$80,000 of software. Information to come.
